James C. Standring, DDS
Dr. James C. Standring, DDS came to the beautiful Northern California coastal area of Del Norte County in 1987. He began practicing in an office on 9th Street until his new and current office was built on the corner of Northcrest and Washington.
He continues to attend courses and seminars on the latest advances in family and cosmetic dentistry. These courses, sponsored by the ADA and CDA, are held annually.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Standring and his family began settling into the community and grew to a family of seven children. He has been continually involved in the community and his children’s lives through coaching various sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, and swimming. He has also been very involved in BSA Scouting.
Dr. Standring and his highly qualified team enjoy producing long lasting smiles for the patients they serve.
Michael J. Standring, DMD
Dr. Michael Standring is a dedicated dentist serving the Crescent City, California, community. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he completed his undergraduate studies at Oregon before earning his Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences and his dental degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. Dr. Michael Standring is passionate about continuing education and staying at the forefront of advancements in dentistry, providing efficient, personalized care to his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Michael Standring enjoys exploring the outdoors, with hobbies such as fly-fishing, backpacking, camping, and spending time in the woods. He’s also eager to try new activities like surfing and loves taking on DIY projects. His commitment and strong work ethic extend beyond the dental office—during his time in school, he was part of a junior national championship contender volleyball team and earned 3rd place in the USA Volleyball junior national club tournament.
A strong family-oriented individual, Dr. Michael Standring is the son of Dr. James Standring's brother, Eric. He is committed to helping his patients achieve optimal oral health while building meaningful relationships with the local community.
